DogFriendly.com

Well Luke has been doing research so apologizes to the lack of posts (he was on vacation and sleeping).
Anyhowzits… Bucky found a great little site called DogFriendly.com, a site dedicated to dogs and travel destinations around the world! If you definitely planning a trip this site has tons of tips to make travel fun and easy.

They are a great resource that give tips on traveling, lodging (campground, motels, hotels, and resorts), and basically vacationing with your dog. They done their research to ensure you and your dog have  a great time together. Their online city guides for both Canada and the U.S., has a listing on pet friendly lodgings, activities and events, and dog parks so you can start your vacation right away. Not only can you check by city, but if you are on  a road trip you can also check by major highway/interstate for Canada and the U.S.!
Of course DogFriendly also provides a list of emergency vets too just in case.

The site has also has a number of links of interest to dog owners as well. From sites to choosing and caring for you best friend, to a guide of dog friendly companies (take your pooch to work!)

Also available from the site are several books and e-books that are about dogs and travel.
